Michael McKinnis currently serves as General Counsel of the firm. He has been a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, Management Committee and Operating Group. He also served for many years as Leader of the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Section. He is responsible for the firm’s professional liability insurance program and all firm-related legal matters.

He has handled a wide variety of disputes in state and federal courts in Missouri and elsewhere. His primary areas of practice are product liability cases, commercial litigation, insurance-related disputes and commercial property tax appeals. He has tried cases in a number of courts and agencies, and supervised trial counsel for a variety of clients. Mr. McKinnis also has advised insurance clients regarding insurance coverage issues and participated in insurance coverage litigation.
