Marwa Hassoun focuses her practice in commercial litigation and international trade. Ms. Hassoun’s international trade practice covers a range of issues, including export controls, economic sanctions, antiboycott regulations, Islamic law, customs compliance, tariff classification, country of origin marking and other regulatory requirements. Ms. Hassoun’s litigation work focuses on international cases in U.S. courts as well as general commercial litigation, including actions related to government contracts and mortgages. She is also a member of the firm’s Art Law Team.
Ms. Hassoun graduated from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where she served as co-chair of the Middle Eastern Law Students Association and was an instructor of Street Law. Additionally, she externed at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of California, clerking for the Civil Division.
