Lou Spelios concentrates his practice in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, ESOPs, antitrust and general business law.

Mr. Spelios' merger and acquisition practice involves acquisitions and divestitures by both publicly traded and privately held companies, and his corporate finance practice includes private equity, mezzanine finance and joint venture transactions, representing investors, lenders, and businesses seeking capital. Mr. Spelios also has extensive experience representing trustees of employee stock ownership plans in merger and acquisition transactions. Mr. Spelios' antitrust practice is comprised of counseling clients with regard to filings made under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended, and addressing issues in the post-HSR Filing review process.

Recent merger and acquisition transactions include the acquisition of foreign and domestic companies which manufacture raw materials for carpet production, manufacture and distribute carpet and flooring products, manufacture and distribute medical products, provide document production and facilities management services, provide real estate financial products, perform water treatment services, provide professional consulting services, distribute commercial construction products, manufacture scientific and analytic instruments, and manufacture automobile components. Mr. Spelios also has extensive experience advising issuers and investors in private placement and mezzanine transactions of equity and debt securities.
