Linda Martínez focuses her practice on development and related federal, state and local incentives, including major public, private and public/private partnerships for the creation of public facilities, museums, sports and entertainment complexes and commercial, industrial, manufacturing and multifamily housing facilities. Her experience includes new markets, assembly of land, historic preservation and other development tax credits, as well as redevelopment for public, commercial, manufacturing, industrial, hotel, retail and housing uses. Ms. Martínez maintains a significant practice in the municipal finance area, serving as bond counsel and counsel to underwriters, credit enhancers, borrowers, trustees and issuers on tax increment financings, not-for-profit institutions, health care institutions, housing, hotels, airports, small issue industrial development bonds, municipal bonds (general obligation and revenue) and other forms of tax-exempt financing. She also has counseled large developers and institutions on legislative matters and regulatory implementation of such matters, including development of the historic preservation tax credit, authorizing free transferability of certain tax credits and MODESA.
