Leslie Allen Bayles has broad experience representing creditors in distressed business matters, including loan workout and restructuring, commercial real estate foreclosure and receiverships, guaranty litigation, large equipment repossessions, and sales of distressed assets under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code and Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code. Ms. Bayles' foreclosure and receivership experience includes operating assets such as hotels, large multi-family residential developments, strip malls, health care facilities and office buildings.
Ms. Bayles also represents secured and unsecured creditors, including lenders, trade creditors and landlords in bankruptcy-related matters, such as debtor-in-possession financing, bankruptcy claim disputes, stay relief, contested plan confirmations and defense against large preference and fraudulent transfer claims. Ms. Bayles is also responsible for issuing bankruptcy-related legal opinions on behalf of the firm, including opinions relating to substantive consolidation and “true lease” issues.
