Kittipong Jangkamolkulchai advises clients on international trade matters, cross border transactions, as well as supply chain matters, including trade, customs and excise compliance. He undertakes comparative analysis to identify cost-savings opportunities for multinational companies seeking to capitalize on an increasing number of free trade agreements.
Dr. Jangkamolkulchai assists clients operating in the Export Processing Zone (“EPZ”) and Customs Free Zone (“CFZ”) with regard to the privileges, rules and regulations of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (“IEAT”) and the Customs Department, as well as provides guidance for cost-effective compliance operations. He has successfully assisted several clients to obtain CFZ privileges, resulting in significant amount of tax savings. He also advises trading companies on business transactions and associated tax liability exposures under various tax and duty privilege schemes, e.g., Bonded Warehouse, Board of Investment (“BOI”) and CFZ.
Dr. Jangkamolkulchai conducts Customs health checks, and assists clients under Thailand’s Customs Post Audit Program as well as in settling claims with the Thai Customs. He advises clients on customs valuation, classification, and import/export procedures. He has successfully represented clients in defending challenges from Thai Customs, as well as in mitigating risk exposures and penalties.
