Ken Lowenstein’s practice focuses on New York City zoning and tax incentives work. He has experience in all aspects of site development, including zoning changes, special permits, variances, landmark proceedings, air rights transfers, tax abatements and incentives.
Mr. Lowenstein has represented numerous real estate developers, major corporations, hospitals, universities and other entities in securing approvals for the development of residential, retail, commercial and institutional buildings. He also represents clients in obtaining tax abatements and other incentives from New York City and state.
Mr. Lowenstein was previously associated with another New York City law firm. He has worked for New York City, New York state and the Federal governments, including the Mayor’s Office, the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the Department of Buildings and the New York State Urban Development Corporation.
