Karl Marschel practices in the areas of real estate development including acquisition, development and disposition of commercial and industrial properties, as well as public-private partnership matters including the financing of infrastructure and special district financings, tax increment and other redevelopment financing, economic development incentives and incentives for large and small businesses, such as employee training and job creation tax credits and other benefits. Mr. Marschel is experienced with representing both private and public entities throughout the United States seeking to promote the development of properties and other business opportunities and has acted as bond, underwriter’s or special counsel in bond and other financings related thereto. He also has experience with all stages of the real estate development process including negotiating purchase and sale agreements, loan documents and performing real estate due diligence.

Served as bond counsel and special counsel to a suburban community the Chicago metropolitan area in connection with special service area financings to fund public improvements associated with the development of over 1,000 homes and related infrastructure improvements.
