John ReVeal is the Financial Institutions Group’s lead regulatory and compliance lawyer in Bryan Cave’s Washington, D.C. office. Mr. ReVeal focuses on financial institution regulation and transactions. He advises banks and savings institutions on organizational and transactional matters, bank and thrift powers, federal preemption, exportation of rates and charges, anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism financing regulations, and financial institution licensing matters. He also assists in the purchase and sale of banks, thrifts, and non-bank financial entities.
Mr. ReVeal’s nearly 20 years of experience also includes advising on consumer protection and privacy regulations, working with state and federally chartered banks and savings institutions, credit card and prepaid card issuers, mortgage lenders, consumer finance companies and other providers of financial services and products. He also served as vice president and regulatory affairs counsel for the Washington Mutual Banks.
