James Buell's practice includes concentration in commercial real estate, with particular emphasis in complex commercial development, acquisition, construction and leasing, as well as all aspects of real estate finance. Major corporations, developers, investors and lenders have called upon Mr. Buell's counsel, experience and creative problem solving skills in a wide range of acquisitions, dispositions, merger transactions and other corporate real estate matters.
Mr. Buell has also handled significant corporate finance projects for a wide variety of corporate clients in a number of industries, including telecommunications, propane gas, mining, piping, furniture, shoes and tool manufacturing. He has counseled clients in connection with the issuance of public notes, private placement debt offerings, construction and permanent loans, revolving credit and term loan facilities and mortgage loan purchases and sales. Mr. Buell has represented banks, savings and loans, life insurance companies and other institutional investors in connection with working capital facilities, revolving credit and term loan facilities, asset based loans and permanent loans, and also has counseled clients in connection with workouts, restructurings and bankruptcies.
