Jay Levin concentrates in commercial real estate finance and development as well as corporate finance and banking. He has represented institutional lenders (including domestic and foreign banks), credit enhancers, syndicators, public and private partnerships, developers, business corporations and underwriters in the corporate, real estate, banking and financial services areas.
Mr. Levin has been responsible for matters involving the financing, refinancing and development of hotels, office buildings, corporate headquarters, industrial projects, computer facilities, health care properties, apartment complexes, condominium projects, retail and entertainment facilities, mixed-use projects and other commercial real estate. He has also represented government agencies such as the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), Atlanta Development Authority, Georgia World Congress Center Authority, City of Atlanta, Georgia Technology Authority and Atlanta Public Schools in a wide range of matters pertaining to the financing, development, construction, sale, purchase and lease of real estate.
Mr. Levin's practice encompasses commercial real estate finance and development (both tax exempt and taxable), commercial leasing, project finance, corporate acquisitions and borrowing, debt and equity securities offerings, major sale/leaseback transactions, securitized and credit-enhanced financings, and construction contract matters. He has represented originating lenders with respect to the closing of multifamily loans for securitization conduits and the negotiation of mortgage loan purchase and underwriting agreements.
