James (“JP”) Phillips focuses his practice on commercial litigation. One of Mr. Phillips’ primary objectives is to assist clients to resolve disputes as efficiently as possible. A highly proficient problem-solver, his diverse practice experience has centered on representing clients through all phases of litigation in a variety of cases.

Mr. Phillips areas of emphasis include shareholder disputes, business dissolution, legal malpractice defense, corporate governance disputes, securities fraud matters, and bankruptcy adversary proceedings. His litigation expertise includes acting as lead counsel during a three-day arbitration representing the president of North American operations for a publicly traded company against his former employer to recover severance and other benefits.

Mr. Phillips served as a law clerk to the Honorable Sandra I. Rothenberg of the Colorado Court of Appeals from 2001 to 2002.
