Howard (Pat) Boltz, a trial lawyer and past president of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, has handled large litigation matters representing investment banks, securities dealers, public and private corporations, officers and directors in complex litigation. Mr. Boltz has experience in federal and state securities litigation and SEC investigations involving reverse repurchase agreements, insider trading and municipal securities, including the defense of public officials. Mr. Boltz’s experience includes the defense of numerous 10b-5 class actions, cases involving securities, computers, real estate development, unfair competition, insurance and banking, as well as the representation of the former curator of antiquities of the Getty Museum.
Mr. Boltz is the past president of the Federal Bar Association, Los Angeles, and has served on the Executive Board of the Federal Bar Association and as the editor of the Federal Bar Association Journal for the Central District of California. Mr. Boltz is the author of Federal Trial Evidence and has published numerous articles on subjects ranging from expert witnesses to settlement strategies, which have appeared in the ABA’s Litigation, Los Angeles Lawyer and the Federal Bar Association’s Journal for the Central District of California.
