Firm Ranked 10th in Thomson Reuters 2012 M&A Results

Bryan Cave again is ranked among the top legal advisers for M&A work involving a U.S. target, according to 2012 year-end data released by Thomson Reuters.
The firm ranked 10th based on the number of transactions completed involving a U.S. target, with 91 completed transactions during the year.
Thomson Reuters, recognized as maintaining the most comprehensive database available on mergers and acquisitions, noted in its full report that the value of worldwide M&A totaled $2.6 trillion in 2012 – a two percent increase from comparable 2011 levels. Worldwide spinoffs and divestitures, which totaled $1.2 trillion for full year 2012, accounted for 47 percent of overall M&A activity, which was the highest annual percentage since records began in 1980.
“Our transactional practice enjoyed another impressive year in 2012,” said Bill Seabaugh, head of the firm’s Transactions Group. “These results confirm that our clients continue to value the experience and dedication of our global transactional practice.”
