Edwin (Ned) Fryer has practiced for over thirty-five years as a business lawyer focusing on corporate governance and compliance law, especially in the field of records management and data privacy. He has considerable experience in technology as it relates to such issues, and has assisted numerous business organizations in successfully crafting and implementing records management programs and resolving governance and corporate compliance problems. Specifically, he has helped clients prepare and implement comprehensive employee integrity programs, including components from the following subject areas: Records Management; Privacy of Records; Corporate Opportunities; Competitive Intelligence; Email, Internet and Computers; Intellectual Property; Conflicts of Interest; Bribery and Kickbacks; Broker-Dealer and Other Securities Issues; Financial and Marketing Integrity; Employee Political Activities; Gifts and Entertainment; and Insider Trading. He has lectured and spoken extensively in these areas. Mr. Fryer has been publicly recognized as one of the pre-eminent lawyers practicing in the field of records management law. He has assisted clients in developing global records management programs, to include crafting policies, implementation procedures and records retention schedules, as well as crafting training and risk assessment programs.

Mr. Fryer was a member of the committee of the Missouri Bar that drafted and proposed to the Missouri General Assembly a comprehensive revision to the Missouri General Not For Profit Corporation Law. He is the author of the nonprofit corporations chapter of two Missouri law reference treatises.

He has served as first vice chairman of the National Board of Governors of the American Red Cross in Washington, D.C. and as a member of its Executive and Biomedical Services Committees. He is chancellor Emeritus of the Episcopal Diocese of Missouri. He is a Missouri-licensed paramedic (volunteering with the St. Louis Fire Department as its Civic Relations Officer), a founding trustee of the St. Louis Fire Department Lifesaving Foundation and a former chairman of the Downtown St. Louis Emergency Preparedness Organization. He held a gubernatorial appointment to the Missouri State Advisory Council for Emergency Medical Services. He is a self-taught computer programmer.
