Perry Johnson represents and counsels corporate clients on a broad range of antitrust and trade regulation matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, pricing questions, marketing and distributorship issues, deceptive trade practices and the establishment of antitrust compliance programs.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Johnson was the director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition, where he was responsible for supervising the agency’s antitrust enforcement activities. Mr. Johnson also held several other positions at the FTC, including executive assistant to the chairman, deputy director of the Bureau of Competition, assistant director for general litigation and assistant director for regional operations. Mr. Johnson was the recipient of the FTC’s two highest awards, the Chairman’s Award and the Distinguished Service Award.

Mr. Johnson previously taught antitrust law as an adjunct professor at the Saint Louis University School of Law and as a visiting assistant professor of law at West Virginia University. Mr. Johnson was also a law instructor at Boston University and served on active duty with the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the U.S. Navy.
