Development, Financing and Leasing of Stadiums, Arenas and Other Event Venues
- Represented AEG in connection with a $500 million multi-currency construction financing to build out the “O2,” a 28-acre development located in the eastern part of London along the Thames River which includes a 20,000-seat arena and over 650,000 square feet of leisure and entertainment use
- Represented the City of Kansas City in connection with a public/private partnership for the construction, funding and operation of Sprint Center
- Represented a prospective NFL franchisee in connection with the development and leasing of the Edward Jones Dome at America’s Center (the current home of the St. Louis Rams)
- Represented the St. Louis Blues Hockey Club in the construction, lease, financing and development agreements for the Scottrade Center and an adjoining parking garage, a built-to-suit indoor arena practice facility at St. Louis Mills Shopping Center and the current redevelopment of the Peabody Opera House
- Played a central role in the ongoing redevelopment of downtown Kansas City, including the development of the Sprint Center
- Represented The Pageant, a major St. Louis performing arts venue, in connection with site acquisition, construction contracts, construction and permanent financing and leasing
- Represented a co-owner of the New England Patriots in connection with stadium-related issues in Foxboro, Massachusetts
- Represented International Speedway Corporation in connection with various legislative and TIF and other state and local government incentive issues related to the location and construction of the Kansas Speedway
- Represented various investors in and promoters of various sporting events
