Daniel Harvath is a litigator and trial attorney who focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, class action defense, and securities litigation and enforcement. Mr. Harvath has tried cases in state and federal court and is experienced in all facets of pre-trial, trial, and post-trial litigation.

Mr. Harvath has represented individuals and businesses from multiple industries in matters ranging from shareholder disputes between members of closely-held corporations to nationwide class actions seeking billions of dollars in damages. He has litigated cases involving parties and law from foreign jurisdictions spanning the globe (including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, French Polynesia and Australia) and has experience in multiple and diverse areas of law, including: all forms of commercial litigation and business torts (breach of contract, tortious interference, fraud, conversion); class action litigation; intellectual property and patent infringement litigation; securities litigation (including FINRA arbitration); mass and toxic tort ligation; trade secrets and unfair competition litigation; fiduciary litigation; government contract litigation; bankruptcy litigation; mechanic’s lien and construction litigation; tax law; constitutional law; the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC); and the Convention for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Harvath has experience counseling closely-held and start-up companies regarding corporate governance, fundraising, and intellectual property protection. Mr. Harvath also has an active pro bono practice, and has worked (and continues to work) in conjunction with the Innocence Project in New York to exonerate wrongfully-convicted individuals.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Harvath served for two years as a judicial clerk to the Hon. Michael J. Reagan, United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. During law school, in addition to serving as the primary articles editor for the Washington University Law Quarterly, Mr. Harvath interned as a judicial clerk for the Hon. Theodore McMillian, United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
