  2009 >> Bryan Cave and Atlanta-based Powell Goldstein merge, creating a new firm of more than 1,200 lawyers, with new offices located in Atlanta, Charlotte and Dallas.
         
San Francisco office opens. << 2008 >> Continued expansion in the European Union with the opening of our Paris office.
Expansion in the European Union, with opening of offices in Milan and Hamburg. << 2007    
         
Bryan Cave Strategies LLC established to provide strategic corporate consulting services in public policy and government affairs. << 2005 >> Bryan Cave International Trade LLC, based in Asia, formed to expand firms’ international trade-related services.
         
Firm establishes office in southern Illinois to assist clients with class action, product liability and commercial litigation matters in Madison and St. Clair Counties in Illinois. << 2004    
    2002 >> Bryan Cave and New York-based Robinson Silverman Pearce Aronsohn & Berman merge, creating a new firm of more than 800 lawyers, with more than 235 lawyers based in New York.
Chicago office opens. << 2001    
         
    1998 >> Client Bob Costas emcees firm’s 125 year anniversary celebration in nationwide simulcast.
Firm lawyers represent client in multiple $100+ million mergers and acquisitions. << 1996

Firm chosen to represent the government of Kuwait in the preparation, submission and prosecution of its claims of more than $100 billion against the state of Iraq arising out of the invasion and occupation of Kuwait. << 1993

>> Expansion to the west and southwest. Firm opens offices in Phoenix and Kansas City.
London office opens. << 1982    
         
    1980 >> International presence established. Office opened in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to handle business transactions in the Middle East. Presence later expanded to U.A.E. and Kuwait.
First office outside St. Louis is opened in Washington, D.C., to enhance growing legislative practice. Offices in Los Angeles and New York follow. << 1978    
    1973 >> As it begins its second 100 years, Bryan Cave has become a strong regional law firm with 52 lawyers in St. Louis. Creation of Executive Committee and Managing Partner position revolutionizes how firm handles its “law business”.
Firm takes on as client a "poor Scotsman with just a little 'bitty' aviation company" and has served it since its founding. That little company was McDonnell Aircraft Company, now The Boeing Company. << 1939    
    1917 >> Rhodes Cave joins the firm, which then becomes Bryan, Williams & Cave.
Merger results in Stewart, Bryan, Christie & Williams. In 1916, P. Taylor Bryan’s name becomes first in the firm title, where it remains to this day. << 1911    
    1873 >> Firm founded as King, Phillips & Stewart in St. Louis, Mo., in a building across the street from the current St. Louis office.
