Brent W. Vincent’s practice focuses on all areas of environmental law with an emphasis in litigation. He represents clients in litigation matters involving complex toxic tort matters, focusing on environmental and scientific issues. He counsels clients on environmental land use issues and advises clients on compliance with municipal, state and federal environmental, health and safety laws.

  • Class Action Defense, Illinois:  Represent manufacturer in defending a putative class action  alleging air pollution and odor nuisance.  Represent same client in declaratory action seeking insurance coverage for underlying claim
  • Cost Recovery, Chicago, Illinois:  Represent private landowner seeking remedial costs from City of Chicago and sub-contractor for contamination resulting from operation of auto pound
  • Cost Recovery, Waukegan, Illinois:  Represent Fortune 500 chemical manufacturer in suit against railroad seeking clean-up of historic petroleum contamination.  Prosecuting claim for same client against former Manufactured Gas Plant for clean up of  MGP tar
  • Environmental Fraud, Chicago, Illinois:  Represented real estate developer in fraud litigation for the concealment of extensive petroleum contamination in the purchase of property
  • Mold Outbreak, Chicago, Illinois:  Represented owner of luxury apartment building in responding to mold outbreak.   Oversaw mold remediation and tenant relocation and resolved numerous tenant claims
