Brent Howard is a member of the Private Client Group, and his practice focuses on estate planning and administration and tax-exempt entities (including public charities and private foundations). He assists clients with their pre-death estate planning and wealth preservation through the creation of wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, the use of lifetime gifting, and business succession planning. He also assists clients with estate administration including the probate of the will, the transfer of assets and the filing of the estate tax return. Additionally, he advises tax-exempt entities with formation and operation issues.
During law school Mr. Howard served as an assistant in the Georgia State University College of Law Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia, where he provided legal services to low income taxpayers with federal tax controversies.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Howard worked for several years in the pulp and paper industry.
