Benjamin Sodey's practice involves all areas of intellectual property law, including preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the United States and abroad; litigation; licensing and transactional matters; and intellectual property counseling and opinions. Mr. Sodey’s work focuses, in particular, upon biochemical, chemical, and pharmaceutical patent preparation and prosecution, as well as validity/invalidity and infringement opinions and counseling related to patentability and freedom to operate in these and other technical fields.
Mr. Sodey has research experience in biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, cell biology, and immunology. Mr. Sodey previously held a research position at the Mayo Clinic in the Department of Immunology, where he performed research related to the development of immune-based therapies for cancer, and also held an undergraduate research internship position at Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc.
