Bryan Cave’s Chicago office has been honored with the 2012 Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility as part of the national When Work Works project. The award recognizes employers of all sizes and types in the Chicago area and across the country for their use of workplace flexibility such as flextime, part-time work and compressed work weeks as an effective strategy to increase business and employee success.
Sloan Award recipients are ranked in the top 20 percent of employers nationally in terms of programs, policies and culture for creating an effective and flexible workplace using a two-step selection process, which involves an evaluation of employers’ flexibility programs and practices and a confidential employee survey.
“This honor is a powerful reflection on our commitment to a positive and creative workplace,” said Mike Ohm, managing partner of Bryan Cave’s Chicago office. “As a recipient of the 2012 Alfred P. Sloan Award, our firm has distinguished itself as a leading employer of choice by routinely embracing workplace flexibility to benefit employees helping them meet their responsibilities both on and off the job.”
Bryan Cave will be recognized as a 2012 Sloan Award recipient at an upcoming event hosted by Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Aug. 7 at the Mid-America Club.
