Bryan Cave, its people and services are frequently recognized as leaders by legal and business publications. Our people also are honored by civic and educational organizations for their dedication to public service. The following are representative of the awards and recognition received across Bryan Cave over the past year.

06/2008	Chief Diversity Officer Wins Young Alumna of the Year Award Bryan Cave's Chief Diversity Officer, Tina Harris (Kansas City office), is the recipient of the Young Alumna of the Year Award from the College of Law Alumni Council. The award is given to graduates who have been out of law school for 10 years or less and have made outstanding achievements early in their careers, demonstrated devotion to the public good and upheld professional integrity. The College of Law Alumni Council is affiliated with Northern Illinois University Law School.
06/2008	Chambers USA 2008 Bryan Cave has been included in the prestigious Chambers USA 2008 guide, a ranking of law firms and attorneys considered leaders in their field. Now in its sixth edition, Chambers USA represents all major practice areas at the national level in addition to specialties within each state. The firm received a total of 13 rankings, while 36 attorneys were recognized for their outstanding work as individuals.
06/2008	St. Louis Business Journal, 2008 '30 Under 30' St. Louis Associate Michael Laycob has been named one of St. Louis' outstanding young professionals by the St. Louis Business Journal.
06/2008	Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars 2008 Three lawyers from Bryan Cave's Los Angeles office have been selected as 2008 Law & Politics’ Southern California Rising Stars.
06/2008	2008 Law-Related Education Attorney of the Year Award Phoenix Partner Pamela Gates has been awarded the 2008 Mark Santana Law-Related Education Attorney of the Year Award by The Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education.
05/2008	Intellectual Property Today, Top Trademark Firm Bryan Cave LLP ranks as a top 50 trademark firm in the May 2008 issue of Intellectual Property Today. The publication ranked 328 law firms according to the number of U.S. trademark registrations issued during 2007.
04/2008	Volunteer Lawyers Program Pro Bono Award Phoenix Associate Robert Reder has been selected by the Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP) as a recipient of one of its 2007 Pro Bono Awards. VLP established these awards to honor volunteers who help ensure access to civil justice for people with low incomes. Robert is being honored as the Adoption Attorney of the Year.
04/2008	National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Award of Merit Ricardo Kolster, associate in Bryan Cave’s Kansas City office was honored with an Award of Merit from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) for his work on an international child abduction case. NCMEC awards members of the legal community who bring dedication, time and expertise to international child abduction disputes.
04/2008	Variety’s Man of the Year Award St. Louis Senior Counsel Walter Metcalfe has been named Man of the Year by Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis. The mission of Variety the Children's Charity of St. Louis is to serve children with physical and mental disabilities in the greater St. Louis region.
04/2008	Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, 2008 Robert C. Welch Volunteer Project Award Bryan Cave's Kansas City office has been selected by the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association as recipient of the 2008 Robert C. Welch Volunteer Project Award for outstanding commitment to the delivery of pro bono legal services.
04/2008	Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, 2008 Congenial Counselor Award Elaine Drodge Koch, partner in Bryan Cave's Kansas City office, has earned the 2008 Congenial Counselor Award from the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA). The award is presented to one or more KCMBA members who exemplify professional gallantry, peacemaking, harmony and friendship.
04/2008	Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, 2008 Baron of the Boardroom Award Herbert M. Kohn, partner in Bryan Cave's Kansas City office, has received the 2008 Baron of the Boardroom Award from the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA). The award recognizes those with distinguished careers representing corporate and business clients.
04/2008	Better Business Bureau, 2008 International Torch Award for Consumer Leadership Joan Z. (Jodie) Bernstein, of counsel in Bryan Cave's Washington, D.C., office, received the 2008 Better Business Bureau International Torch Award for Consumer Leadership for her lifelong drive to "significantly advance marketplace trust through consumer advocacy, protection or education."
04/2008	St. Louis Daily Record, 2008 Women's Justice Award Cheryl Walker, of counsel in Bryan Cave's St. Louis office, has been awarded the St. Louis Daily Record “Citizenship Award” as part of its 10th Annual Women’s Justice Awards.
04/2008	National Japanese American Memorial Foundation, 2008 Constitutional Rights Award Joan Z. (Jodie) Bernstein, of counsel in Bryan Cave's Washington, D.C., office, has been honored by the National Japanese American Memorial Foundation (NJAMF) with its 2008 Constitutional Rights Award for her work as chair of the U.S. Commission on Wartime Relocation and Internment of Civilians.
03/2008	Human Resource Executive Magazine, 2008 U.S. Top 50 Most Powerful Employment Attorneys Jerry M. Hunter, partner in Bryan Cave's St. Louis office, has been chosen one of the 50 most powerful labor and employment lawyers in the U.S. by Human Resource Executive magazine.
03/2008	2008 LeGaL Foundation Community Vision Award Bill Hibsher, partner in Bryan Cave's New York office, received the LeGaL Foundation Community Vision Award in recognition of his 25 years of service, leadership and mentoring to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) legal community.

12/2007	The Washingtonian Magazine, 2007 'Best' DC Lawyers The Washingtonian magazine has named three Bryan Cave Washington, D.C., partners as 2007 'best' DC lawyers in their respective practices.
12/2007	2007 Missouri Lawyers Weekly Lawyers of the Year Missouri Lawyers Weekly has named two Bryan Cave lawyers as 2007 Lawyers of the Year. The publication looked for lawyers who have shown a special dedication to their practices, won noteworthy cases, challenged legal issues or changed the law.
11/2007	Worth Magazine, 2007 Top 100 Attorneys Stephen B. Daiker, partner in Bryan Cave's St. Louis office, has been named to Worth magazine's "Top 100 Attorneys" list for 2007. Worth is a personal finance and luxury lifestyle magazine.

10/2007	2007 Stakeholder 100 Award Tarun Mehta, associate in Bryan Cave's Kansas City office, has been named a recipient of the 2007 Stakeholder 100 Award, as one of the top 100 associates of color in the U.S.
10/2007	2007 Benchmark: Litigation Guide Bryan Cave offices and lawyers earned high marks in the 2007 debut edition of Benchmark: Litigation, a guide to America's leading litigation firms and attorneys.
10/2007	2007 Missouri Lawyers Weekly "Missouri's Best" Bryan Cave tops the list in the Missouri Lawyers Weekly first annual "Missouri's Best" competition as the best law firm in the state, the best law firm for minorities and took second place for the best law firm for women. Kansas City Partner Herbert M. Kohn earned first place in the "best rainmaker" category.
10/2007	2007 Legal Advocates for Abused Women Legal Champion Award The St. Louis Bryan Cave office was awarded the Legal Champion Award by Legal Advocates of Abused Women (LAAW). The award was established in 2006 to recognize members of the legal profession that join LAAW in its efforts to promote social justice and equal access to services for all victims of abuse.
09/2007	2007 Environmental Excellence Award Michael C. Ford, partner in Bryan Cave's Phoenix office, is a recipient of a 2007 Environmental Excellence Award from the Valley Forward Association.
09/2007	2007 Michael R. Roser Excellence in Bankruptcy Practice Award Laurence M. Frazen, partner in Bryan Cave's Kansas City office, has received the Missouri Bar's 2007 Michael R. Roser Excellence in Bankruptcy Practice Award.
09/2007	New York Super Lawyers 2007 Metro Edition Twenty-one lawyers in Bryan Cave's New York office have been selected for inclusion in the New York Super Lawyers 2007 Metro Edition.
09/2007	2007 Best Places to Work in Los Angeles Bryan Cave's Los Angeles office has been named one of the "Best Places to Work in LA" for 2007 by the Los Angeles Business Journal. The firm was among 60 companies selected for the award, and one of only four law firms honored.

06/2007	2007 Corporate Board Member - Best Corporate Law Firms For the sixth consecutive year, Bryan Cave has been named the best corporate law firm in St. Louis by Corporate Board Member magazine. In Phoenix, the firm was ranked fourth in the survey. The results, part of the magazine’s annual legal research study, are published in the July/August cover story, “America’s Best Corporate Law Firms.”
