Drew Spaniol practices primarily in the area of commercial litigation, with significant bankruptcy and restructuring experience as well. Mr. Spaniol's practice includes significant trade-secret and non-competition litigation. Mr. Spaniol has also represented lenders and financial institutions in defending against claims for wrongful foreclosure and violations of debt-collection practices, and in pursuing claims for default on loan agreements and to appoint receivers to manage or sell properties. Mr. Spaniol's bankruptcy experience has included representation of debtors and creditors in a variety of areas, including oil-and-gas exploration, healthcare, and sports franchises.
Mr. Spaniol is licensed and admitted to practice in both Texas and Louisiana. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Spaniol clerked for the Honorable Jeffrey P. Victory of the Louisiana Supreme Court.
Mr. Spaniol is a member of the board of directors of Literacy Instruction for Texas (LIFT) and chair of its Governance Committee. Mr. Spaniol is active in the Texas State Bar, participating in the Law in the Schools Committee and the Mock Trial Committee, and is a member of the Dallas Asian American Bar Association.
