Andrew Gleason’s practice focuses on purchase and sale transactions including REO transactions, the workout of distressed commercial real estate debt, real estate financing, portfolio-wide due diligence matters and the impacts of state and local government regulation on real estate development. He counsels lenders, property owners and developers in the negotiation and preparation of purchase and sale agreements, financing documents, commercial leases, option agreements, development agreements, and easement agreements as well as zoning and other entitlement matters. He also advises clients on election law and campaign finance compliance, referendum and initiative requirements, and other local government law matters. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gleason was an associate of a regional law firm based in Cincinnati, Ohio. His undergraduate degree is in urban and regional planning.

- Led a team responsible for all due diligence and conveyance matters in a lender’s sale of its $1.1 Billion resort timeshare portfolio.
- Represented a foreign hotel operator in the purchase of an historic Nob Hill hotel property in San Francisco, California.
- Represented an electric power generator in the acquisition of general plan amendment and special use permit approval and the acquisition of transmission line-siting approval for a 500 MW photovoltaic solar generation facility located in western Maricopa County.
- Represented a boutique lender in the sale of REO assets within thirteen residential communities in Arizona.
- Represented a national bank in the sale of REO assets within eleven residential communities in four western states.
- Led a team in the review of a regional lender’s Arizona commercial real estate loan portfolio comprising more than one hundred twenty loans and provided advice as to the condition of particular loan assets in preparation for sale.
- Represented a lender in its acquisition from the Arizona Department of Real Estate of a special order of exemption from the Arizona subdivision public report requirements for its entire Arizona model home portfolio.
- Represented an automobile manufacturer in the acquisition of a major amendment to its Maricopa County special use permit for the operation of its proving ground facility in Surprise, Arizona.
