Amit Parekh’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, business and transactional counseling and strategic partnerships and alliances. Mr. Parekh has significant experience representing public and private corporations, private equity funds and venture capital groups, including representing a leading clean tech venture capital group based in Orange County and a large private equity fund based in New York.  In addition to Mr. Parekh’s general corporate and M&A practice, he is also a member of the firm’s India Practice Group and Cleantech Team.

Mr. Parekh has worked in-house at the corporate headquarters of two Fortune 1000 clients.  His first secondment was at Collective Brands, Inc. (NYSE:PSS), the parent company of Payless ShoeSource, Stride Rite and several other shoe brands, where he assisted the general counsel and senior legal counsel with several cross-border transactions.  His following secondment was at CoreLogic, Inc. (NYSE:CLGX), where he worked with the assistant general counsel on both transactional and securities issues.  Mr. Parekh continues to represent both of these clients on a variety of matters.

Mr. Parekh’s experience also encompasses serving as “outside general counsel” to several companies, including charity:water, a nonprofit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.

Mr. Parekh has been associated with CleanTech OC since its inception and is currently serving on its Board of Directors.
