Alan Solarz’s practice includes representing public and private companies in taxable and tax-free corporate reorganizations, asset and stock acquisitions, spin-offs and restructurings.  He regularly advises companies and executives on matters involving executive compensation, stock options and restricted stock, and deferred compensation.  Mr. Solarz also advises clients in matters involving gift cards, abandoned property, sales and use tax, state tax planning, federal and New York state audits, hedge funds and investment vehicles, REMICs, real estate investment trusts, partnerships and limited liability companies, and in-bound foreign investments.  In addition, he handles a variety of real estate-related tax matters including roll-ups and workouts.

Mr. Solarz has lectured on various tax topics and has been featured in several publications including The New York Times, USA Today (online), and The Fiscal Times (online).
