Adwoa Ghartey-Tagoe Seymour represents companies and manufacturers in products liability litigation, business tort and contract disputes and insurer tortious bad faith litigation. In addition, Ms. Seymour represents financial institutions in cases involving loan servicing claims, federal lending laws and regulations, and consumer protection claims. She is also a registered neutral in the areas of mediation and arbitration with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolutions and, in 2010, was selected as an A. Leon Higginbotham Fellow of the American Arbitration Association. Ms. Seymour uses her alternative dispute resolution and litigation skills to represent clients in state courts, federal courts, mediations, and various arbitration forums. Ms. Seymour also serves on the national counsel defense teams for various clients developing defense, discovery and trial strategy, managing local counsel, negotiating and assessing opportunities for alternative dispute resolutions, and litigating those cases pending in the southeast.
While in law school, Ms. Seymour received the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Graduate Award, honors in the second year litigation practicum and the Best Overall Advocate Award in the Moot Court Board Appellate Advocacy competition. In addition, Ms. Seymour interned with the Honorable A. Harris Adams of the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Honorable Penny Brown Reynolds of Fulton County State Court.
In the community she has demonstrated her strong passion for child advocacy by representing children in truancy proceedings in Fulton County Juvenile Court through the Truancy Intervention Project and serves on the organization's Board. She also serves on the Board of the Atlanta Legal Aid Society. Ms. Seymour also serves in a leadership capacity over her church's youth ministry.

Successfully represented two corporate defendants in premises liability action pending in Superior Court, which successfully ended in dismissal

Successfully represented a healthcare company in federal litigation involving COBRA claims and ERISA fiduciary disputes, which resulted in a complete dismissal on summary judgment

Successfully represented a banking client in arbitration pending before the National Arbitration Forum in a breach of contract dispute, resulting in an award in favor of client

Advising an insurance client on the prevention and defense of tortious bad faith claims

Successfully represented banking client on a motion to dismiss or compel arbitration in the Superior Court of Fulton County resulting in a complete dismissal of credit card consumer's claim for invasion of privacy
