Ameer Gado is a member of the Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property Service Groups. His practice focuses on commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants, in a wide range of industries including e-commerce, biotechnology, telecommunications, banking/finance, product packaging, and business methods.

Mr. Gado has significant trial experience, having second-chaired two high-stakes trials in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri in 2010 and 2011 and first-chaired a civil rights trial in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois in 2009. He has presented oral argument before the Missouri Court of Appeals, first-chaired a hearing before the American Arbitration Association, and participated in numerous preliminary injunction hearings in U.S. District Court. Mr. Gado also does significant pro bono work, including defending multiple clients against Missouri Incarceration Reimbursement Act claims, representing a client in federal civil rights litigation, and successfully obtaining a client’s release in 2012 after thirty years of wrongful incarceration.

Mr. Gado received his undergraduate degree in biology from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and worked for three years as a molecular biology research fellow with the National Institutes of Health.
